Fuel
Always leave truck with 1/4 tank minimum. This means it should never be below 1/4 tank unless you are physically driving to the gas station.
Each RepairPro Vehicle has a credit card that is only to be used for that specific Truck. Make sure you leave the card in the truck at all times.
Always fill up the tank. There is no need to do otherwise.
Fill up at 2549 Scott Ave, Pacific Pride Gas Station.
Be sure to enter the mileage correctly
Turn the vehicle off before fueling.
Wash hands with soap and water if you spill gasoline on them.
Do not smoke while fueling a vehicle.
Parking
Back in when leaving overnight. Park in side yard at shop. Make sure the vehicle is locked and if you are the last person for the day, that the gate is locked as well.
Use of cones. Should you not bring your car and use as a placeholder for your spot, use cones to claim your spot for when you return. It's best to simply swap spots with your personal cars whenever possible.
Don't leave parked outside another office (please park in our lot overnight)
Make sure to lock both the doors and the two tools compartments.
Please leave windows up and keys in the office lock box.
Please remove all trash after use
Make sure no tools or valuables (even change!) are visible in the cab and make sure nothing is left unlocked in the bed of the truck. Bark or misc non-valuables are okay for a short amount of time.
Use of Truck
No smoking, eating, or drinking in the truck.
Vehicles can only be used for RepairPro business.
Wash approx. weekly at carwash.
Vacuum if needed. Vehicles should ALWAYS appear clean and in good condition, as a representation of our company and professionalism.

Anything used out of inventory in back needs to be charged back to owners and noted in the task.

Thanks for using your truck to get places! We are working on getting a few more fleet trucks but for now please track your mileage. If a fleet vehicle is available to use and you choose not to use it as a personal preference, you are not eligible for mileage. Exceptions are made for function and purpose. For example if a small truck is available and you need a large truck for hauling but none are available. In this case, using your personal truck and collecting mileage is very appropriate.
Record your mileage on your provided Google Spreadsheet before the end of each month so it can be included in your next paycheck. If you do not have a spreadsheet, please ask for one to be setup.
If you are getting paid for mileage, gas is not reimbursed thus, some employees prefer to just use their truck and have the gas paid for instead. Traveling from your house or for your personal weekend/evening travel isn't something we can pay for but, I bet you can figure out a fair way to do it by adjusting when and how much you use the company card and your own card.
Most of the time, when your employer requires you to use your car at work, the miles you drive qualify as business use. However, there are some rules you must keep in mind. Commuting between home and your regular work site isn't tax-deductible. Also, you can't mix business and personal use. Suppose your employer tells you to drive somewhere to pick up some supplies. If you stop to do a personal errand, the mileage on that trip from that point on is not considered a business expense.
If your employer reimburses you for mileage, you must keep a record of your driving. If not, you still need to maintain a mileage log as documentation to deduct the standard rate mileage allowance on your taxes. Get a mileage log. Each time your employer makes you use your vehicle at work, record the starting and ending odometer readings along with the date. Write down where you drive and the reason for the trip. Make a note of the odometer readings on the first day and the last day of each year that you use your vehicle for work-related driving. You can also download the app MileIQ to keep track of mileage on your phone.
