There are two types, and can be payable to the same person should they do both.
1) Job Bonuses
There are two types, and can be payable to the same person should they do both. For example if Shawn, AJ, Frank, or another team member brings the business, estimates it, and PMs, it, they would be due both.
2) Sales Bonus
If you procure a customer, provide an estimate and get the work accepted you are due 10% of the job profit on completion of the job. This means you worked with the customer from the start to end, including the estimate, scope of work etc.
PM Bonus
If you project manage a job, you are due up to 5% of the profit on completion. This is an awarded bonus, not automatic and must be awarded by your supervisor and at their discretion. A PM takes responsibility for the job and manages the project from start to finish, with profit as a goal. A PM is identified by AJ/Greg/Ryan, it's not an automatic assignment. This can be split role if desired. A prudent PM will change order as needed and manage the project budget for maximum profit and quality of work.
Caveats: This is moving forward, unless you request this be made active on jobs or estimates that exist already and that is approved. All bonuses are subject to supervisor approval, and overall job profitability. If accurate profit is unavailable, book profit will be substituted based on the book profit per hour for the month the work was completed in, or an average if spanned multiple months.
In the case no profit is a result of the job, it was either bid incorrectly, managed poorly or both, and no bonus is due.
If a sales bonus is paid out, that same team member can't collect a referral bonus on that customer.
How These are Paid
These are paid at discretion of our admin team. For example, it may be paid upon completion, or after all bills are fine, or after the customer pays, or even quarterly or annually.
